Acknowledgements
- After getting nowhere with discovering the original owner of Wendorian, my friend George Robinson had an inspiration and checked out the Crew List Index Project - [47] where he discovered a record of the vessel with her original name of Stephanotis and naming Charles Arkcoll as the original owner.
- Much of the information available about the vessel on the Internet is contradictory but I have pulled together the factual information with assistance from John Firmin and Malcolm Salter.
- I am grateful to Ron Burroughs for providing additional information about the transfer of ownership of the vessel after the death of Charles Arkcoll.
